Clubs

We are pleased to offer our Calvert Elementary students the following after-school clubs this spring. Clubs will meet for 1-hour from 4:05-5:05 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) beginning March 4th for approximately six weeks. To register for a club, please pick up an enrollment form from the front office, and submit no later than February 27th. Clubs are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. An enrollment confirmation letter will be sent home by March 1st.

Spring Session After-School Clubs

Green Team Club (Grades 1 - 5)
Sponsor: Mrs. DiBello

Students will participate in activities that foster awareness of our natural environment. Club members will create projects from nature items, restore schoolyard habitats, and participate in Spring planting. This club meets on Tuesdays. Fee: $20


No Bake Cooking Club (Grades K - 2)
Sponsors: Mrs. Gray & Mrs. Cross

Make, take & EAT! Students will explore kitchen tools and prepare snacks and sweet treats. This club meets on Mondays. Fee: $25 (includes material fee)


Kickball Club (Grades 3 - 5)
Sponsors: Mrs. Clark

Students will learn the fundamentals of kickball and play against each other. This club meets on Tuesdays. Fee: $20


American Sign Language Club (Grades 4 - 5)
Sponsors: Ms. Downie

Students will learn the basics of sign language (alphabet, numbers, colors and animals) the first two weeks, and be taught stories with expressions and different ways to express words during the last four weeks. This club meets on Mondays. Fee: $20


Art Club (Grades 4 - 5)
Sponsor: Mrs. Adams

Students will focus on learning to draw/cartooning. This club meets on Wednesdays. Fee: $27 (includes material fee)


Running Club (Grades 3 - 5)
Sponsors: Mrs. Parsons

Students will focus on self-care and ways to de-stress including warm-up and a run. This club meets on Mondays. Fee: $20


Calvert Ninja Warrior Challenge (Grades 4 - 5)
Sponsors: Mr. Banyasz & Mr. Harlow

Students will train for three weeks beginning February 25th. Competition will be held March 18th after school. Registration for this club must be submitted by February 22nd. This club meets on Mondays & Wednesdays. Fee: $20


Musical Theatre Club (Grades 3 - 5)
Sponsors: Mrs. Polko, Mrs. Beeson, Mr. Walton, Ms. Moser & Mrs. Moore

Students will learn about and participate in all aspects of producing the musical production: Mary Poppins, Jr. Fee: $35 cast (actors/actresses), $20 crew (sound, lighting, stage hands)

Please note: This club meets on Tuesdays from 4:05 - 5:30 p.m., and runs until the performance in May.
